Abstract
The cases of discrimination and sexual harassment became a certainty in Romania in the last decade. Discrimination, sexual harassment and bullying against women can also exist as a result of the Romanian traditional culture of male authority, in which a certain legal violence against women is acceptable and doubled by a high tolerance in front of this type of violence. On the other side, a modern culture, disseminated mainly by mass-media emphasizes the image of the woman as a sexual object by exposing her to violent behavior with prevalent sexual connotations.
